This is a video of Jason McElwain, who was the basketball manager for his high school team. I was truly inspired by this video. In the interview for his ESPN story, he stated that he did not feel different and that he was just normal like everyone else. In the interview his dad said that basketball was his equalizer. I immediately thought of the Miracle League program that gives special needs children the opportunity to participate in an encouraging activity. This video further motivated me to promote awareness of the need for more special education teachers. Jason's video solidifies by belief that special education can make a great difference in the lives of not only the children but the community as a whole.
